Auction Helps the Rider Travel Fund

We know that the high cost of travel these days can definitely create a hardship for some of the many riders coming from the East and the Mid-West to compete in California.

We have been successful in raising over $3,000 in our first fundraising effort to give back to the riders. With the help of you, the fans, we surpassed our goal in 2011 and collected an incredible $4,500.  Now, in our third year, we have expanded our efforts to include a silent auction in order to help defer the riders’ travel costs to the West Coast Nationals. Circle Bell Motorsports have gone to great lengths to solicit and collect numerous memorabilia items from many of the Legends of the sport.

These items will be listed on the auction website where fans can bid on each item and/or make donations. Featuring a variety of rare, signed racing memorabilia, including number plates signed by Joe Leonard, Kenny Roberts, Jim Rice, Scott Brelsford, Scotty Parker, Jay Springsteen and a signed plate belonging to the late famed West Coast racer Ricky Graham, this auction will also offer signed photographs and posters and more.

All the auction items will be on display at the 2012 AMA Pro Racing Sacramento Mile Flat Track National on July 28 at the California State Fair in Cal Expo, Sacramento. Online bidding will close on Friday July 27 at Noon. Sacramento Mile race attendees will have a final opportunity to make a direct bid at the track. All bids will remain secure until the close of the event (approximately 10pm). The online and direct bids will be combined with the highest bid securing the item. Winners will be notified via email and/or phone Monday July 30.

Take part in the auction/donation and let our Grand National Flat Track racers know how much we appreciate the show they put on and their efforts to make the trip to the West Coast.

All proceeds to be donated to the riders.
